Foundations of First

Children Ministry

Our goal is to lovingly teach children to worship God, grow together, serve others, and reach the world, all in age-appropriate ways that cultivate a passion for God and His Gospel.

Raising the Next Generation in the Lord

We believe that children are a gift from God, and parents have the responsibility to bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. As a church, we desire to come alongside parents in this process by helping to lay a biblical foundation in children's lives. Since we seek to instill in our children a love for God and obedience to His purposes for the church, we call our children's ministries Foundations of First.

Sunday Morning Ministries

Children of all ages are invited to age-specific Sunday School classes (9:30 am) where they will continue to build on their foundation of biblical knowledge of God's truth.

We provide a nursery ministry for our youngest attenders for every service, and our volunteers consist of loving workers who are carefully screened members of our church.

Sunday School

During our Sunday School session (9:30 am on Sundays) we have 3 classes for children ages 2-11. We have a Tiny Tots ministry for 2 and 3 year olds. The lower elementary class for K5-3rd grade. And the upper elementary class for 4th-6th graders. These classes are where we begin laying the foundation with Bible stories and application.

Worship Service

Children between the ages of 0-3 are welcome either in the nursery or to accompany their parents in the worship service. Our older children begin with their parents in the Worship Service (10:30 am) and are encouraged to worship with their families through singing, prayer, and reading God’s Word.

Before the sermon, it is announced for children ages 4-8 to head to children’s church. In children’s church, children continue to grow in their knowledge of God’s Word, His Gospel, and His mission for the Church.

This special time gives kids more opportunity for interaction and learning in a context and manner that may be better suited to their age and learning styles. Our friendly Children’s Church volunteers have an endless stream of creativity–ranging from songs, to games, to object lessons.

Sunday Evening Ministries

On Sunday nights from 5:30-7:00 pm during the school year (September-May), we run an Awana program to teach our children to memorize Scripture and apply it to their lives.
