FBC Student Ministry

We believe that teenagers have great potential to serve God with their lives, but they also face very real temptations to become distracted from this goal. Our desire is for our teens to develop a personal and continuous relationship with Jesus so that they may, themselves, be equipped to live out their faith. We do this by supporting parents as they disciple their teens, creatively equipping teens to know God and His Word, and by providing a safe and Christ-like community for teens to flourish.

Weekly Rhythms

Any teen that is 7th through 12th grade is welcome!

Sunday School

Sunday School was never supposed to be boring. During the student ministry Sunday School, teens are trained in the ways of apologetics, Bible study, and Biblically based critical thinking – all with the goal of preparing students to have a faith to call their own.

Sunday Morning Worship

We do not offer teen specific gatherings during our 10:30 am worship service. Instead, we encourage our students to sit with their families or friends and worship God together with the entire church body.

Teenagers aren’t just the future of the Church, they are the Church!

Sunday Nights

On Sunday evenings we meet from 5:30-7:00 pm in the student ministry rooms. Our Sunday evenings consist of fun games, worship in song, teaching from God’s Word, and engaging small group discussions. During our lessons, teens will hear relevant Bible teaching that focuses on foundational biblical truths, having an identity in Christ, developing a biblical worldview, and more! Sunday nights are a great opportunity for teens to invite their friends to hear about Jesus and see how He changes lives!

Fbc Students 3

Thank you for your willingness to serve at First Baptist Church of Mishawaka! For the protection of our students, we desire to be thorough in screening all of our student ministry workers. The following steps must be completed in sequence in order to be considered for serving in our student ministries:

  1. All of our workers must first read the Child Abuse Prevention Policy and Procedure Manual of First Baptist Church of Mishawaka in its entirety.
  2. After reading the manual, please submit an application and authorization for screening form.
  3. Once these steps are completed, you will be sent a link to watch child abuse prevention training videos.
  4. When all steps have been completed, your application will be reviewed and you will be notified by the church staff if you are approved for serving in student ministry.

Thank you again for your interest in serving at First Baptist Church!
