Why Join a Local Church?

Joining a local church is a serious and exciting decision that every Christian should make! When you make the decision to join First Baptist Church, you are committing to serve, love, and pray for the other members in the body.

At FBC, we fully believe that becoming a member is the best way for you and your family to grow in your faith. When you join First Baptist Church, you are committing yourself to God and His people, to the mission and values of the FBC, and to living out an active and personal relationship with Jesus.

What is Expected to Become a Member of First Baptist Mishawaka?

Put Your Faith & Trust in Jesus

The church is more than a building. The church is the living, breathing children of God, and you become a child of God by repenting from your sin and putting your faith in Jesus — both His sacrificial death on the cross and bodily resurrection from the grave.

Display Your Faith Through Baptism

Baptism is a public declaration of the inward transformation that takes place when someone follows Jesus. We require our members to be baptized in believer's baptism (whether at FBC Mishawaka or at another like-minded church).

Attend Our Membership Class

Be on the lookout for our next Church Membership class. We’ll enjoy a meal together and our Pastors will share FBC Mishawaka's beliefs, purpose, history, and ministry opportunities.
